# Files, limits and UBL output

This page explains which files SnelUBL accepts, which limits apply and which UBL version you receive. Keep it nearby when an upload is rejected or a conversion seems unexpectedly incomplete.

## Supported file formats

SnelUBL accepts PDF, DOCX, PNG, JPEG, HEIF/HEIC and WebP. A file may be up to 3 MB; larger files are rejected during upload.

## Page limit - important for multi-page invoices

For documents with multiple pages, SnelUBL processes at most the first 2 pages per file. If an invoice has more than 2 pages, only the first 2 pages are used. The conversion may therefore be incomplete without a separate warning. Always review longer documents in the result viewer and, where possible, make sure amount, VAT and invoice number appear on the first 2 pages.

## UBL output version

SnelUBL outputs UBL 2.1 or UBL 2.3. By default, SnelUBL uses UBL 2.1. In workflows, the UBL version is configured per workflow. In Quick Mode, the visible switch determines the UBL version for that upload. Choose UBL 2.1 for the broadest compatibility with accounting packages that do not yet support 2.3; choose UBL 2.3 when your accounting package explicitly requires or recommends it.

## Limits for email submission

If you send invoices to your SnelUBL inbox, use a maximum of 15 MB per email and a maximum of 20 attachments per email. Prefer one invoice per attachment; if several invoices are combined in one file, the page limit still applies.
